Tesa® Secure™ PV-6973

Tesa® Secure™ PV-6973 UID labels from EasySoft are a poly-acrylic material that is laser etched. The labels are black and the laser marking reveals a high-contrast white color. This two color design is specifically useful in IUID applications where high contrast is valuable for readability of 2D UID codes. The material has fairly durable characteristics. These labels boast an inherent tamper evident feature that ensures the label cannot be removed from a part once applied without damaging the label. The labels are backed with a high-performance modified acrylic adhesive. It is one of the most frequently specified materials for Mil-Std-130 labeling.

Usage Scenarios

This UID is great for items that experience difficult environmental conditions such as indoor-outdoor and chemical solvents such as Sulfuric Acid, Fuels and Oils, Brake Fluid or Detergents. Flat or curved surfaces work equally well. Also appropriate where tampering and re-application must be prevented.

What to Avoid

Outdoor or direct UV exposure in excess of 5 years. Highly abrasive environments or situations where impacts are likely to cause chipping or peeling of the etched surface.
